(There is no ethernet port on the laptop ).īUT.if I boot Mint from the USB drive I used to install it, I can install the driver without Mint trying to go online to get the packet (I guess it gets it from the USB?). However, as soon as I choose this and click apply, it tries to download the packet from the internet and fails (since the wireless card isn't working). If I use the Drive Manager it shows me that the wireless driver is not being used and gives me a checkbox allowing me to use the Broadcom driver. Everything works except it won't use the Broadcom driver for my wireless card. I installed Mint from a USB drive onto my laptop. I'm sure this is a simple question, but I can't find a solution.
